Evvy Carlstrom (Marta) - Fresh off the train from Berlin as Sally Bowles in MMTC's production of Cabaret, Evvy is thrilled to be making their Spreckels debut as Marta in Company! Evvy received their BFA in Musical Theatre from AMDA college and conservatory in 2017 and has since been seen in the national tours of Musical Thrones: a Parody of Ice and Fire and Penguin Goes to Flight School as well as time off Broadway in the long-running Pinkalicious. Evvy teaches individual voice to all ages and voice types and hopes to show their students that with a little gumption, grit and good attitude, they can reach for the stars and make meaningful memories along the way. Jeff Coté (Harry) shares the distinction of a theater degree from Indiana University with Charles Kimbrough, the original Harry in the 1970 Broadway production of Company. Jeff had the opportunity to meet Charles at an alumni symposium, where he learned about his extensive experience in theater, television, and film. With three decades of experience on Sonoma County stages, Jeff recently portrayed Myron Berger in the Roustabout’s Professional Ensemble production of Awake and Sing. He also stepped in to play Bob Wallace in the recent production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at 6th Street Playhouse.
Bethany Cox (Kathy) is an actor and singer based in Sonoma County and a San Francisco State theater alum. Some recent favorite productions include The Wind in the Willows (Spreckels), Elf (6th Street Playhouse), Fun Home (Left Edge Theatre), and The Rocky Horror Show (Marin Musical Theatre Company). She is excited to be returning to Spreckels!
Alex Delzell (David) is stoked to be back on the Spreckels stage! He had a blast playing Puck in last year’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and is thrilled to reunite with the same directors for this production. Since Midsummer, he stepped into the heels of Dr. Frank N. Furter in the SRJC’s The Rocky Horror Show. He’s just happy to be here, really—vibing, thriving, and trying not to trip over the set.
Malcolm March (Peter), an Argentinian performer born and raised in Buenos Aires, is excited to come back to Spreckels for his second show in five years! Malcolm most recently appeared in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at Spreckels. Other notable shows include (as a performer): Rent, In The Heights, Tango Dancing-Cinderella, Chicago, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and (as a producer) Odd Man Out (off-broadway, Los Angeles and Pennsylvania)
Allie Nordby (Sarah) is so delighted to be performing again with Spreckels! She has studied vocal performance at Biola University, and also earned a Master of Music at the University of Edinburgh. She has recently performed in Heroes of the Fourth Turning, Everybody, and The Play That Goes Wrong at Left Edge Theater. At Spreckels, she has performed in Almost, Maine, The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley and Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley. She has also performed in multiple opera productions, such as The Marriage of Figaro, Rusalka, and The Medium. In addition to her theater accomplishments, Allie is a black-belt in kickboxing and enjoys training and teaching on the weekends.
Sean O’Brien (Larry) has appeared in several Spreckels shows over the years, most recently as Mole in The Wind in the Willows and as a soldier in All is Calm. He has appeared elsewhere around the North Bay with 6th Street Playhouse, Sonoma Arts Live, Lucky Penny Productions, Theatre-at-Large, Novato Theater Company, and the Mountain Play. Other favorite roles have been the Doctor in Next to Normal, the Baker in Into the Woods, Mr. Andrews in Titanic, Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella, Scuttle in The Little Mermaid, Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd, and Mr. Snow in Carousel.
Katie Rain (April) is thrilled to be making her Spreckels debut... especially with a Sondheim show! Credits: Fiddler on the Roof National Tour starring Harvey Fierstein & Topol, Into the Woods (Cinderella), A Chorus Line (Maggie), Merrily We Roll Along (Beth), and Theatre Under the Stars with Transcendence Theatre in Sonoma. Katie had the honor of originating the role of Princess Reason in the Kennedy Center production of Sheldon Harnick's The Phantom Tollbooth. She received a Bachelor of Music from New York University and was chosen to perform at Radio City for graduation. @heykatierain
Shannon Rider (Joanne) is a two-time Bay Area Theater Award nominee who has performed in many local theaters and concert venues. She is thrilled to return to Spreckels where she has played Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda, Lady of the Lake in Spamalot & Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Other notable roles include Patsy Cline in Always, Patsy Cline, Lin in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Stepmother in Into The Woods, Morticia in The Addams Family Musical, Tammy Wynette in The Tammy Wynette Story, Maureen in Rent, & Minnie in I Wanna Be Bad, an original production she conceptualized & co-produced. Shannon is excited to bring Joanne to life.
Maddi Scarbrough (Jenny) is thrilled to return to Spreckels for her sixth production. She was recently seen in Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot’s summer repertory season as Rosalind in As You Like It and the Witch in Macbeth. Other past productions include Matilda (Miss Honey; Spreckels; SFBATCC nominee), Hello, Dolly! (Irene Molloy; Spreckels), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Edwin Drood; Marin Onstage), The Moors (Huldey; Main Stage West), Little Women (Amy; Spreckels), The Book of Will (Elizabeth; 6th Street), and Cabaret (Frenchie/Lady 1; Cinnabar). Maddi holds a BFA in Acting from UC Santa Barbara.
Andrew J. Smith (Robert) is excited to return to Spreckels where he was last seen in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. A New York native actor, writer, and director, Andrew received his MFA from San Diego State University in Musical Theater and has been fortunate to entertain all over the world, via national tours, regional theatre, cruise ships, and Off-Broadway. When not on stage, Andrew runs the Hospitality Program for Sangiacomo Wines in Sonoma and sits on the board of directors for the Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club.
Maeve Smith (Amy) is delighted to be back at Spreckels where she was last seen as Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Maeve holds a BA (Chico State) and MFA (SDSU) in Musical Theatre. She spent her early career based in New York performing in national tours, regional theatre, and traveling the high seas on Oceania Cruise Line. Favorite roles include: Janet (Drowsy Chaperone), Sarah (Guys and Dolls), Laurey (Oklahoma!), Hope (Urinetown), and Nellie (South Pacific) aboard the USS Midway. Most recently, Maeve directed the critically acclaimed & sold-out Sonoma production of The Hello Girls.
Tina Traboulsi (Susan) is thrilled to return to Spreckels. She recently portrayed Daphne in Present Laughter (NTC), Mary in It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Cynthia Weil in Beautiful (Spreckels), Louise LeBreton in The Hello Girls (SAL!), Emily in Our Town, Laura in The Glass Menagerie (RVP), and Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Cinnabar). During her free time, she enjoys long walks- her longest was across California (San Francisco to Yosemite). Noah Vondralee-Sternhill (Paul), a Santa Rosa native, has had the pleasure of performing in various shows in Sonoma County, including Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour Krelborn) and Kinky Boots (Charlie Price) at 6th St Playhouse, Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas) and Shrek The Musical (Lord Farquaad) at the SRJC. Last year he was in was in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander) and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Gerry Goffin) here at Spreckels. He’s excited to return to Spreckels in another great show!
